In that location are three versions of the back cover of the original American release:
1st - Has an epitome of actor Eric Emerson projected upside-downwardly on the wall backside the band. Sometimes referred to as "first state", the "Emerson Embrace", or more than recently the "Torso Cover".
2d - The histrion's prototype is covered by a big blackness sticker.
tertiary - The actor's paradigm is airbrushed out.
Historical info: The actor Eric Emerson (2), protagonist of some multimedia films projected behind the grouping during Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable, filed a lawsuit against the tape label for the non-payment of the rights regarding his paradigm that can be seen upside down on the dorsum encompass of the commencement version. So between March and April 1967, the album was suddenly withdrawn from merchandise and shops. After a few months, the album was redistributed with a huge sticker that covered the summit of the offending photo. Subsequent pressings had the paradigm airbrushed out completely.

Does anyone know when this was released? I have it nonetheless sealed, but since I got information technology as a nowadays I don't know when this specific pressing was released.
Does the banana peel off? I accept two new(ish) copies over the years and one peels and the other one doesn't.
My copy has this matrix runout and David Cheppa'due south signature.
I own this. Haven't listened to it in years. I remember it was bad even for a Velvet Clandestine recording.
Hello I have a version of this album that is pretty hard to identify, The Matrix runout reads 3972 V65008 S 35948 RE lee Ro5 Information technology's a pretty good pressing the best i've heard lots of space between vocals and instruments simply pretty gritty and raw too.
if you want the "first pressing audio"... is information technology worth getting this or go all in for the U.s.a. press? just wondering, because it's an album that's not necessarily known for recording quality. but dynamics should be in that location when paying large moneys.
Some other thing is I do not run across any matrix run out on the disc in the picture? Where is the matrix info coming from?
I have a copy of this tape merely the case does non have a peelable banana. The tape looks exactly like this one. Can anyone confirm if all cases were peelable bananas? Also, my disc has no matrix runout. The same exact color though.
I besides have this exact matrix run out and it clearly states stereo on both sides... I bought a copy of this new when I was a teenager, and fifty-fifty though I've had many pressings, from original peelable ones to the about recent ones over the intervening years, this pressing really does sound pretty good... I was actually impressed when I gave information technology a spin just now, I imagine this would have been one of the last stereo masters earlier the digital era. Enormous bottom end...
agree with comment that at that place is a lot of surface noise. definitely confusing to songs like Heroin but the dynamics are solid.
